we have treasures in earthen vessels, we have the tools in our hands but often not we do not realise what we have until someone more insightful points them out and we realise how far we can go and how many limits we can break with the potentials in us. Skill acquisition and entrepreneurial development (SAED) is a body that created the program to give and show youths there is more to what they can achieve and that they have all it takes to achieve the desired dream of being your own boss. This program started on 29th may 2017 and 9th june 2017 was set apart for the exhibition of skills learnt by corps members within this period.
The event started on a very cheerful note where a preview of acquired skills was seen in stations like; leather works and shoe making, barbing, tailoring, cosmetology and solar system installation.

The event started which is the exhibition of products made by corps members during the period of skill acquisition with the nysc anthem, after which mrs Funmi Ajayi (SAED cordinator) was invited to give her opening remarks. She gave thanks to God and also the corps members of 2017 batch A stream one for their full cooperation in the entrepreneurial development, job advisory, counselling programs and equally learning different kinds of skills.
 She thanked the NYSC officials and collaborating agencies through camp commandant, head of police, head of man o war, head of civil defense, head of rectors e.t.c. for their cooperation in maintaining orderliness and providing security throughout SAED activities. Also the resource facilitators and trainers for their commitment to the SAED program. She encouraged corps members to locate the post camp training of their choice after the orientation camp and learn more on the skills learnt on camp and be masters of them.
Closing remarks was given by mrs N. D Nwatarali, the state cordinator Asaya camp, Kogi state, on the SAED programs which started on 29th may, 2017 of which she hoped the corps member will become employers of labour and not seekers of jobs. Based on the obvious display of the products of the acquired skills she appreciated the fact that the initial purpose which was to use a skill set for self improvement was achieved.
On this note, mrs Nwatarali,the state coordinator, kogi state declared 2017 batch A stream one skill acquisition program closed.

Afterwards their was presentations by both ICT and animation class through their representatives. ICT representative presented blogging and social media integration with its role in financial increase while animation class representative presented an animated video they created based on the parade on camp.
  The state cordinator with other camp officials went ahead to view the exhibits of each skill acquisition class, and this classes include; solar and power energy, printing and customising, bridals, baking and confectionaries (food processing), agro-allied, aluminium, paint making (of which the state coordinator said they can brand the paint Asaya lux), photo and film production, bead making, environment which includes making p.o.p, block making and landscaping, barbing section, leather works and bags, shoe making, cosmetics and beautification, tailoring and make up. 
victory oshafi one of the youth corps members said its not just about certifictates but also about learning skills. He was grateful for the opportunity to learn film and photography he loves.
